Workshops aren’t simply meetings for dumping information into people.
They’re little worlds.
Every choice you make:
who speaks,
who decides,
how rushed things feel,
how people relate to each other…
It all quietly teaches something about how the world works.
Or how it could.
I help facilitators design workshops that practice the future they actually want
instead of accidentally recreating the systems they’re trying to change.
I organize this work into three modes:
Dream, Design, and Do.
You can cycle between them in whatever order makes sense for you.
Each mode plays a different role.
Dream
visioning + vibe-setting
The ‘Dreaming’ mode is where you clarify the vision for your workshop.
What do you want your participants to experience (not just learn)?
What kind of world are you inviting them into, even for a few hours?
How can you create an environment that supports the kind of world you’d actually like to live in?
This is where our imagination gets to stretch out.
Where we zoom out before we start making decisions.
A lot of people skip this step. They jump straight to structure, and then wonder why everything feels muddy or misaligned later. When we don’t Dream enough first, we default to what we’ve seen done before…
even when those choices kinda go against our values.
Dreaming gives your work an orientation.
It makes your workshop more unique.
It makes everything else easier.

Design
organizing + Architecting
Time to make a plan.
This is where you start sculpting your dream into a form through decisions. Flow. Activities. Timing. Framing.
Which strategy & tactics support your intentions?
Instead of defaulting to:
Bio Content
Q&A
Sales pitch
What if you did…
Game Group discussion
Debate ?
Story Colouring
Time capsule ?
Create the agenda together Let things unfold ?
You’ll explore options in a “what kind of experience might this create?” way. How would different choices change the workshop? What do your people want? What combinations make your dream possible?
Design is where values get embedded or quietly dropped.
90-minute collaborative calls
Design Sessions
Get your ideas out of your head and into a workable shape.
We’ll co-create the bones of your workshop, tweak what’s not quite clicking, or map the flow from intro to close. If you have any visuals prepared, I’m happy to look at them in this kind of session too.

do
Experiencing + observing
This is where the world you imagined meets real humans.
You host the workshop.
People respond, contribute, push back, suggest, get confused, surprise you.
How do they interact with each other?
What do they pick up and run with?
What decisions do they make inside the space?
And equally as important: how does it feel for you?
Is the impact the same as your intention? Are you exhausted? Want to add a second day because an offhand comment gave you an idea to build out?
The presence of others will influence the dream you have and the design you choose… good.
That’s part of the work.
This phase is about experiencing, noticing, and reflecting.
(Then cycling back to the other modes for iterating.)
a 3-part feedback journey

(from your world)

Or just want me to actually experience your session so I know what it’s like when we brainstorm together? This is exactly that.
