What it takes to host Enchanting Workshops ⇠ PART 1
Conventional Approaches (and why they don’t work) ⇠ PART 2
Workshops as Activism ⇠ PART 3
A Framework for Enchanting Workshops ⇠ PART 4
You, my friend, are an activist.
You want your sessions to lead to a social shift, but you also want to do it all without manipulating people or doing things that don’t feel good.
Your workshops can be activism.
We can work towards fully being our authentic selves, instead of succumbing to the pressure of perfectionism.
We can support the building of community, instead of feeling the need to always be brilliant under a spotlight.
We can create spaces with communal wisdom where everyone has a place to really engage, instead of trying to hack some surface engagement.
And we can share our message in digestible ways that nourish people, instead of firehosing our content and overwhelming them.
This feels so liberating to me. It opens up so many possibilities.
✨
Now that you’re familiar with this framework…
what will you do with it?
No scarcity/fomo B.S. here. – you’ve got lots of options!
⇒ I know some people are internal processors, and need to take time to digest things on their own.
⇒ Maybe you want to share some of these ideas with a friend or two so y’all can discuss (I’d love to hear your thoughts on the Prism).
⇒ Or you could be ready to implement changes to your workshop RIGHT NOW, based on what you’ve read.
⇒ If you’d like to dive deeper together, there’s the option to join me for ‘Beyond Expertise’ , a workshop I host semi-regularly that’s coming up soon.
A little bit about Beyond Expertise:
In a smallish group, we’ll look at what we’re doing in our workshops now, and how we can shift things to be more enchanting and in line with our goals.
We’ll delve into the Prism of ACES framework, uncovering ways to craft workshops that move beyond simply sharing your expertise, transcend the ordinary, and leave an indelible mark on the workshop participants and the world at large.
If that sounds like it has potential to be a good next step for you…
My mission is to make it easier for people to open the conversations we as a society need to be having, and to challenge the boundaries of what workshops can achieve.
Regardless of what you decide to do next, I hope I’ve expanded your thinking and encouraged you to activate your inner activist. ✨ ✨
